This small plate gathers earth, water and light, all in one. 

Ash settles organically around the edge in the magic of the wood-firing kiln, while the centre opens into a vibrant turquoise-green glaze pooling that catches light. Nothing about the composition feels imposed. The result carries the calm of something shaped as much by the kiln as by the maker's hand.

Its modest scale lends itself to small rituals — a place for fruit, incense, treasured objects, or simply a pause within the home.

Care

Handle with care. Clean gently using a soft cloth and avoid abrasive materials. If used with fresh flowers, empty standing water regularly and allow the interior to dry thoroughly.

Wood firing and natural ash deposits create surfaces that cannot be repeated. Subtle variations and the gentle changes that come with time are part of the character of the work.

Wu Jingwen works with raw stoneware, letting iron and wood-ash glazes bring out the clay's natural vitality.
