Infinity Vase

There is no obvious front to this vessel.

Two curved forms fold around one another, creating an opening that changes with every step around it. The shape never settles into a single view, inviting the eye to keep moving.

Wood firing leaves much of the final surface beyond prediction. Ash, flame and atmosphere become collaborators in the making, leaving soft transitions of ivory, blush and charcoal that could not be repeated.

One of Wu Jingwen’s most sculptural works, Infinity Vase speaks through form rather than ornament. It is a vessel that feels quietly complete, holding stillness and movement in the same gesture.

*One-of-a-kind piece.
